Mission of the function:
The Scientist will spearhead in applying statistical and mathematical techniques to look for market investment opportunities
Reporting to:
Fund Director
Contacts:
- Internal: Investment Team
- External: Prospective Clients
Main Tasks/ Areas of Responsibility:
1. Get familiar with the functionality of securities markets
2. Collect market-wide and securities’ transactional data such as price and volume
3. Conduct technical analysis on market trends
4. Build statistical models to look for market irregularities
5. Build trading connectivity to exchanges
6. Automate current manual trading tasks for investment teams
Ensure the strict observation of Company corporate policies, establish and maintain the highest possible standards of ethics with a special emphasis on avoidance of any potential conflicts of interest which may impair the reputation or investment performance of Company
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor degree with distinction/ or master degree in STEM
2. Coding skill is a must, preferably Python, R
3. Comprehensive knowledge of statistics and probabilities
4. Experience with working with large datasets or tick data is a plus
5. Experience with some ML techniques is a plus (RF, HMM, etc...)
6. Fanatical about financial markets
